Packers Calendar: Jarrett Boykin and the Week's Final Injury Report

The Packers wide receiver has been battling a groin injury and will be listed on the week's final injury report, released Friday.

The Green Bay Packers release their final injury report of the week on Friday, and the status of wide receiver Jarrett Boykin and defensive lineman Datone Jones will be closely scrutinized.

First they'll release an approximation of the day's practice, even though the Packers typically hold just a walk through on Fridays, two days before a game. That means they'll list Boykin and Jones as either did not practice, limited or full. On both Wednesday and Thursday, both players were listed as "did not practice."

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Packers head coach Mike McCarthy seemed to leave the door open to Boykin improving and Jones returning, saying the defensive lineman was in a "day-to-day category."

After their practice participation reports are released, the Packers will then give them a label based upon their likelihood to play in Sunday's upcoming game against the Miami Dolphins. Players will be listed as either out, doubtful, questionable or probable.

McCarthy will have an update in his final press conference before the Dolphins game to be held at roughly 11:30 a.m. CT and streamed live on Packers.com.

During the morning hours, McCarthy will have an interview aired live at 7:50 a.m. in which he'll preview the upcoming game on 101.1 FM WIXX in Green Bay and streamed live online at WIXX.com.

Finally, Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson will have an interview aired at 3:20 p.m. on 620 AM WTMJ's Packers Insiders in Milwaukee and streamed live on 620WTMJ.com.
