Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy makes his weekly appearance on SiriusXM NFL Radio (satellite radio) on Thursday at 10:15 a.m. CT.
He'll be talking to one of his former players and Packers preseason announcer Rich Gannon along with Bruce Murray on the SiriusXM Blitz.
After that, the Packers return to the practice field on Thursday in preparation for their upcoming game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Attention will continue to be on several injured players, particularly those in the offensive backfield. Both running back Eddie Lacy and fullback John Kuhn sat out of practice on Wednesday, along with tight end Jermichael Finley and cornerback Jarrett Bush.
Safety Morgan Burnett practiced on a limited basis yesterday, so observers will be looking to see if he increases his workload. Only cornerback Casey Hayward has been ruled out for Sunday's game.
On Thursday afternoon, the Green Bay Packers Mentor-Protégé Program will host a human resources panel discussion beginning at 3 p.m. in the Lambeau Field atrium.
The panel discussion, which is free, will feature HR professionals from local businesses answering questions related to the field. Panelists include Packers director of human resources Nicole Ledvina, Visonex president and co-founder John Opichka, Schreiber Foods director of distributor sales Sue Weyers and Davis and Kuelthau, S.C. attorney (employment law) Geoffrey Lacy.
Refreshments will be served during the discussion, and a networking session will follow.
Registration begins at 3 p.m. in Club 1919 at Lambeau Field (fourth floor). The panel will begin at 3:30 p.m. and the networking session will begin promptly after the panel is over.
Interested attendees are asked to RSVP by Sept. 12 by emailing email@example.com
Later in the day, wide receiver James Jones will make his weekly appearance on 101.1 FM WIXX in Green Bay for 1 on 1 with the Boys from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.
