Packers Calendar: It's 12/12/12, Happy Aaron Rodgers Day!

The Wisconsin state legislature passed a resolution making 12/12/12 "Aaron Rodgers Day."

The Wisconsin state legislature passed a resolution recognizing the date of 12/12/12 as "Aaron Rodgers Day" to honor the Packers quarterback. It all started with a fan-created Facebook page that started to gain steam.

"Some public and private businesses are encouraging their employees to wear Rodgers jerseys Wednesday," according to the Associated Press. "Others are encouraging $12 donations to the Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer Fund." The MACC Fund is a charity Rodgers supports.

Check out the lengthy list of specials being offered at the Fox River Mall in Appleton being offered on Wednesday only in honor of Rodgers. Even a tribute by the Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra will be performed at 6:12 p.m. in the mall's food court.

How will Rodgers himself celebrate? By practicing. The Packers return to practice on Wednesday after a day off on Tuesday in preparation for their game against the Chicago Bears this weekend. Following practice head coach Mike McCarthy will hold a press conference at 1:00 p.m. that will be streamed live on the team's official website.

NFL policy also requires the Packers release an injury report beginning Wednesday and is usually announced immediately before McCarthy's press conference.

The status of several players will be highly anticipated as the Packers hope to see the return of Clay Matthews, Charles Woodson, Jordy Nelson and T.J. Lang from injuries.

Packers guard Josh Sitton hosts his own namesake weekly radio program The Josh Sitton Show on Wednesday evening on 107.5 FM and 1400 AM "The Fan" WDUZ in Green Bay, which can be streamed live on the station's website at 6:00 p.m. Central time. Defensive back Davon House will be the player guest, according to Sitton on Twitter.

The show is aired live from The Pine Tree Sports Bar & Grill at Thornberry Creek in Oneida, Wis.
