Packers Calendar: Frank Winters, Jim Flanigan Autograph Session

The pair of former players will appear at the Packers Pro Shop inside Lambeau Field from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Green Bay Packers fans in town for Sunday's home opener against Washington can find a free autograph session taking place on Saturday at the Packers Pro Shop inside Lambeau Field from 2:30 to 4 p.m.

Giving their signatures will be former Packers center Frank Winters and defensive lineman Jim Flanigan Jr. Winters was Brett Favre's center on the Super Bowl XXXI team and a former Pro Bowler, who was inducted into the team's Hall of Fame in 2008. Flanigan is a second-generation Packers who played with the Packers in 2001.

Earlier in the day, the Packers Heritage Trail will be unveiled at the northeast corner of Washington and Cherry streets at 11:30 a.m., highlighted by an appearance by Pro Football Hall of Famer Paul Hornung.

The ceremonies will begin with an invocation by Father Andy Cribben of St. Willebrord Catholic Church. Additional speakers will include City of Green Bay Mayor Jim Schmitt, Green Bay Packers President Mark Murphy, Miron Construction VP Tim Kippenhan and Performa, Inc. Senior Architect Brian Netzel.

The plaza will include a large recognition wall and three statues along with green space enhancements. The three statues to be unveiled are of Hornung, running back Johnny "Blood" McNally and team co-founder George Whitney Calhoun.

The dedication will be followed by a series of home opener weekend events including the Green and Golden Car Show in the Adams Street lot (directly behind the new PHT Plaza) from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. and the CityDeck Tailgate featuring live music, vendors and football activities from 3 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. on CityDeck.
