Packers Calendar: Final Full Day of Exclusive Signing Rights

Monday represents the final day the Packers have exclusive signing rights to their pending free agents.

As former Packers vice president Andrew Brandt likes to say, "Deadlines spur action," and that's what happened over the past weekend with new deals signed by wide receiver Randall Cobb and quarterback Scott Tolzien.

The question is now, "Who's next?"

Although pending free agents are free to negotiate with other teams, Monday represents the final day the Packers have exclusive signing rights with their own players scheduled to hit the open market.

Starting at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, unrestricted free agents can sign with any team of their choosing.

Two players the Packers might not want to allow to reach Tuesday without a contract are offensive lineman Bryan Bulaga and cornerback Davon House. But it's not entirely the Packers' choosing, however.

Bulaga and House and the rest of the free agent class are free to see what they can command from other teams.

Decisions on the team's restricted and exclusive rights free agents are looming as well.

The restricted free agents are wide receiver Jarrett Boykin, offensive lineman Don Barclay and safety Sean Richardson. Green Bay has until Tuesday to make a decision whether to offer them a tender or not.

Meanwhile, the lone exclusive rights free agent is safety Chris Banjo.

Whether any deals get done on Monday remains to be seen, but the clock is ticking.

Right here at Cheesehead TV, we're celebrating the 500th episode of Railbird Central with two very special guests.

Make sure to tune in to listen to Packers cornerback Casey Hayward and Peter King of Sports Illustrated's MMQB.

Start time for milestone show is 8:00 a.m. CT with the podcast available later this morning.

No doubt bringing both Bulaga & House back for 2015 is paramount. ----- TT better have a back-up plan if GB loses Bulaga, House & Williams. --- Plugging in starters is not the problem - you have to have 11 on the field. ---- The problem is "depth".
