The acting bug must have bit Packers linebacker Clay Matthews this offseason as he appears on a television sitcom Tuesday evening.

Matthews plays himself during a guest appearance on Tuesday's episode of "The Mindy Project" on Fox at 8:30 p.m. CT.

The show was created by and stars Mindy Kaling who was previously known for her work on NBC's "The Office."

Participation is not mandatory, but Matthews could return to Green Bay as soon as Monday April 15 when the Packers' offseason workout program begins.
