Also on Monday, a golf match called the Rivalry Cup pitting the Packers against the Bears will take place at Medinah Country Club near Chicago.

The event is intended to mimic the Ryder Cup with both four ball and singles matches being played on the same course that will be hosting the Ryder Cup this fall.

Players taking part for the Packers include Mason Crosby, Tim Masthay, John Kuhn, Ryan Taylor, Bill Schroeder, Lynn Dickey and Randy Wright. Some of the Bears include Mike Ditka, Richard Dent, Kevin Butler, Robbie Gould, Adam Podlesh and Patrick Mannelly.

Brian,

I know the odds are less than Zero that Goodell reverses his own judgement. His "sheriff, judge, jury, and executioner" shtick is beyond old.

However, what do you think are the chances that the four suspended players appeal to the federal system and get an injunction that delays the suspensions indefinitely (a la Fat Pat Williams)?

Thanks!

Good question. I'm far from a legal expert, but I would expect the players to take some sort of legal action against the NFL after the appeals process. How successful they are, I have no clue.
