Packers Calendar: After a Day Off, Training Camp Resumes

The Packers begin the first of five straight days of practice on Tuesday, starting at 8:20 a.m. CT at Ray Nitschke Field.

After three consecutive days of practice and one physical day of donning football pads, the Green Bay Packers took a day off from training camp on Monday to allow the players to rest and recover.

They're back at practice on Tuesday, however, and ready to begin a grind of five straight days of practice, every one of them while wearing pads.

Today's session begins at 8:20 a.m. CT at Ray Nitschke Field. The forecast calls for temperatures in the 60s with mostly cloudy skies and zero chance of precipitation during practice.

This week of practice ends in the annual Family Night scrimmage held on Saturday evening, one of the most anticipated events of Packers training camp.

Following a day off, it will be interesting to see how many players are able to return to practice. Rookie wide receivers Charles Johnson and Kevin Dorsey have been nursing minor injuries and could be ready to return.

The cornerback position would also receive an infusion with the returns of Tramon Williams from a knee injury and Davon House from food poisoning, but there's been no official word on the matter.

Likewise, the Packers continue to wait on offensive lineman Derek Sherrod, who head coach Mike McCarthy is attempting to clear the final hurdles before returning to practice.

After practice, McCarthy will have his daily press conference streamed live on the team's official website at Packers.com.
