Packers Calendar: Adderly, Robinson Reception at Lambeau Field

Lombardi-era Packers Herb Adderly and Dave Robinson will be signing copies of their new book "Lombardi's Left Side" Thursday evening at Lambeau Field.

Former Packers greats Herb Adderly and Dave Robinson will taking part in a reception and book signing Thursday evening at Lambeau Field. The two authored the recently-released book Lombardi's Left Side and will be talking about their experiences with the Packers.

According to Ricky Zeller of Packers.com, "Tickets for Thursday’s event from 6-8 p.m. are available now at $75, and include admission for two, an autographed book, appetizers and two drink tickets. The event will also feature a Q&A session with the players. Tickets can be reserved by calling (920) 569-7512, or can be purchased at the Hall of Fame desk in the Lambeau Field Atrium."

Earlier in the day, the Packers return to the practice field in preparation for their upcoming game on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.

Head coach Mike McCarthy will hold a press conference, but it will not be streamed live on the team's website. Typically, it is posted later on Packers.com for on-demand viewing.

The Packers are required by the NFL to submit an injury report on Thursday, which will be made available online later in the day. Those players whose status is worth watching include linebacker Clay Matthews, defensive lineman Ryan Pickett and wide receiver Donald Driver, none of whom practiced on Wednesday.

McCarthy will also make his weekly appearance on satellite radio's SiriusXM NFL Radio on channel 88, which can be heard live at 10:45 a.m. Central time.

In the evening, the weekly television program Inside Lambeau will air on the local NBC affiliate, WGBA Ch. 26, at 6:30 p.m. The show is hosted by Wayne Larrivee, the radio voice of the Green Bay Packers, and Greg Matzek, the host of Packers OT on the Packers Radio Network. A list show times on other regional affiliates can be found here.

Over on the radio dial, 101 With The Boys can be heard at 5 p.m. on 101.FM WIXX in Green Bay and streamed live on the station's website. Wide receiver James Jones joins Murphy and Maino in the afternoon to talk some Packers football.

Adderly and Robinson want to get some money out of Packer fans at least they're making money the right way and not suing the NFL like other old timers.

Believe me, Adderly and Robinson aren't doing this to make a buck.

First, it's Herb Adderley (with 2 e's).

Secondly, why else would anyone write & have a book published if it weren't to at least make a few bucks ?? --- (Recover their investment?)

Funny that you ask that question of someone who wrote and had a book published in the last year.

Well Brian? You OBVIOUSLY wrote your book so that you would be ROLLING in dolla billz. Tell us how you're spending the untold riches that have come your way since publication...

You could at least correct the spelling mistakes. I mean, Herb Adderley is a HOF & CHTV can't even spell his name correctly.

Plus, no one has answered the question. If Adderley & Robinson didn't write the book to at least make a few bucks, why did they write the book & why are they promoting it? --- Just looking for an opinion.

You asked "why else" would anyone write a book.

No one writes a book, especially in 2012, if making money is their only aim. Would they like to break even? Of course. But you/they write a book because you have a story to tell. I happen to think theirs is a story worth reading/hearing.
