Packers Calendar: 25th Annual Green and Gold Gala

Forty Packers alumni will take part in the fine dining fundraiser for Family Services of Northeastern Wisconsin this evening at Lambeau Field.

For the 25th consecutive year, Packers alumni will return to Green Bay for the Green and Gold Gala to benefit Family  Services of Northeast Wisconsin.

Forty alumni players, including Hall of Famers Bart Starr, Paul Hornung, Willie Davis and Dave Robinson, will be in attendance at the event, which includes a cocktail and hors d'oeuvres reception, fine dining, silent auction and program emceed by Lambeau Field announcer Bill Jartz.

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. to the Lambeau Field atrium. Tickets are still available and are $150 each or $1,500 for a business table sponsorship. Call Sarah Beckman at 920-436-4360 ext. 1242 or register on-line at GreenGoldGala.com.

Earlier in the day, the Packers will hit the practice field for the final time in preparation for the home opener against Washington, a session not open to the public.

A week ago on Friday was when safety Morgan Burnett's hamstring flared up on him and couldn't participate in the Week 1 game, so all eyes will be on him today, along with tight end Jermichael Finley, guard Josh Sitton and linebacker Nick Perry, all of whom are dealing with various ailments.

Following practice, head coach Mike McCarthy will have his press conference streamed live on the team's official website at Packers.com, expected to take place at 12:30 p.m. CT.

Early Friday morning, head coach Mike McCarthy will make his rounds on statewide local radio as follows:

  • WTMJ AM 620 Milwaukee at 6:25 a.m.
  • WSAU AM/FM 550/99.9 Wausau/Stevens Point at 6:35 a.m.
  • WIBA AM 1310 Madison at 6:45 a.m.
  • WIXX 101.1 FM Green Bay at 7:50 a.m.
