Packers Become Odds-On Favorite in NFC

The Green Bay Packers have become the odds on favorites to win the NFC Conference following their win over the Carolina Panthers this past Sunday, according to online oddsmaker Bovada.lv.

Currently, the Packers find themselves at 3-1 odds to win the NFC, ahead of even the Seattle Seahawks, who beat the Packers convincingly in the season opener. The Seahawks are at 4-1 odds, while the Dallas Cowboys are at 5-1.

As far as the Super Bowl is concerned, the Packers at 8-1 odds find themselves trailing only the Denver Broncos at 3-1 odds.

After a Week 3 loss to the Detroit Lions when the Packers record stood at 1-2, they were at 22-1 odds to win the Super Bowl.

Within the division, the Packers are the odds-on favorites to win the NFC North at 4-9, ahead of the Detroit Lions (2-1), Chicago Bears (12-1) and Minnesota Vikings (100-1).

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers also took a jump up in the NFL's MVP Award odds standings.

Rodgers is at 5-1 odds to win the award, behind only Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning (5-2) and Cowboys running back Demarco Murray (7-2). Last week, Rodgers was fifth in the standings.

I this week will tell us a lot about the Green Bay Packers chances. We're looking like a pick 'em on Sunday and I can't say I disagree with that. New Orleans looks vulnerable, even at home, but I won't stop being afraid of the Superdome until I actually see New Orleans drop one there.

I feel good about Sunday. Like... 10 point victory good. I don't see them slowing us down.

JJ Watt should be in the conversation. I actually think he is the MVP; what would Houston be without him?

This is emotion, which is fickle. I'm trying hard not to get carried away, but I bought some stuff from the pro shop for my college kids. I had the thought, " This might be a good year to get some extra gear." I've got a hope this team will be injury lite and if so, they're going to keep getting better as the season goes on. We've got a real chance to go far.
