Packers Add Joseph Twins From Temple

Eli, a defensive lineman, and Peanut, an inside linebacker, are the newest members of the Green Bay Packers.

The Packers have added a pair of twins from Temple in undrafted free agency, Eli and Peanut Joseph, according to Rob Demovsky of the Green Bay Press-Gazette.

Eli is a 6-2, 290 pound defensive lineman who was a first-team All-MAC honoree this past season when he made 44 tackles and started all 12 games. He lined up next to first-round draft choice Muhammad Wilkerson.

He also did 43 bench press reps during his pro day workout and is the 30th ranked defensive tackle prospect in this year's rookie class, according to NFLDraftScout.com.

Elijah "Peanut" Joseph is a 6-1, 243 pound inside linebacker who was a second-team All-MAC selection this past year after making 71 tackles for the Owls.

Peanut was invited to the NFL Combine this past spring but did not work out because of a right knee injury suffered last season. NFLDraftScout.com has him ranked as the 16th-best inside linebacker prospect in this year's draft class.

The Packers also signed an inside linebacker from Temple named Alex Joseph last season, although he's apparently not related.

In the following video, Peanut talks about football and the influence of his brother Eli...

Any football player with the name "Peanut" should make the 54 man roster just due to making it through all the inevitable locker room razzing through the years.

HA!
