Packers 46-Man Roster Prediction for Week 17 vs. Lions
Davon House has been ruled out of Sunday's game. Who will take his spot on the active roster? Cheesehead TV has the projection.
Here's our best guess at predicting the Green Bay Packers' gameday roster for Sunday's Week 17 match-up against the Detroit Lions. Reminder, only 46 players can be active.
The entire roster is included. Those bold and italicized are predicted to be inactive...
Quarterback: Aaron Rodgers, Matt Flynn, Scott Tolzien
Running Back: Eddie Lacy, John Kuhn, James Starks, DuJuan Harris
Wide Receiver: Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, Jarrett Boykin, Davante Adams, Jeff Janis
Tight End: Richard Rodgers, Andrew Quarless, Brandon Bostick, Justin Perillo
Offensive Line: David Bakhtiari, Josh Sitton, Corey Linsley, T.J. Lang, Bryan Bulaga, J.C. Tretter, Lane Taylor, Garth Gerhart
Defensive Line: Mike Daniels, Datone Jones, Letroy Guion, Josh Boyd, Mike Pennel, Bruce Gaston
Outside Linebackers: Julius Peppers, Clay Matthews, Mike Neal, Nick Perry, Jayrone Elliott
Inside Linebackers: A.J. Hawk, Brad Jones, Sam Barrington, Carl Bradford
Cornerbacks: Sam Shields, Tramon Williams, Davon House, Casey Hayward, Jarrett Bush, Demetri Goodson
Safeties: Morgan Burnett, Micah Hyde, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Sean Richardson, Chris Banjo
Specialists: Mason Crosby, Tim Masthay, Brett Goode
Notes:
- Cornerback Davon House (shoulder) has already been ruled out of Sunday's game.
- Five players are listed as "probable" on the Packers injury report and all are predicted to play, including Aaron Rodgers (calf), linebackers Clay Matthews (biceps) and Mike Neal (abdomen) and offensive linemen Josh Sitton (toe) and T.J. Lang (ankle).
- The Packers are projected to go with their exact same inactive list for a third consecutive week. At this point, it would be a surprise if they made a change the last week of the regular season.
- Quarterback Scott Tolzien and linebacker Carl Bradford have not been active for a game yet this season.

Still would love to see Janis in a game. Boykin has done next to nothing all year, amazing how he went from 49 catches to 5. Averaging 13.9 YPC to 5.4 YPC. Perhaps he hasn't shown enough in "Practice", but Bokin has showed nothing during "Gametime".

Boykin's descent: puzzling. Woulda thought comp between him and Adams would have been fierce. Gotta be more to the story. Something kept in house.
If this were Chicago I bet we'd have been told everything! (Not that I'd prefer that.)

I think Boykin's earned his keep on special teams. I can only think that Janis still doesn't know the offense well enough. I'm going to predict that Boykin has a good game catching the ball at some point.
Harris keeps his job at KR not because he's particularly good at it, but because the guy does not make mistakes out there.

Its playoffs baby. 6 years running, time to make a deep run, it starts tomorrow. Time for Eddie to start pounding, 25 carries and pressure Stafford= win.

The Bears d line had Stafford running for his life. I can't imagine he's looking forward to this game.

I for one am quite happy to see essentially the same names all season long. Our team really has not been hampered by the injury bug as in seasons past. Go Pack GO
