Packers 46-Man Roster Prediction for Week 11 vs. Eagles
Brandon Bostick and Jayrone Elliott have been ruled out for Sunday's game. Who will take their spot on the active roster?
Here's our best guess at predicting the Green Bay Packers' gameday roster for Sunday's Week 11 match-up against the Philadelphia Eagles. Reminder, only 46 players can be active.
The entire roster is included. Those bold and italicized are predicted to be inactive...
Quarterback: Aaron Rodgers, Matt Flynn, Scott Tolzien
Running Back: Eddie Lacy, John Kuhn, James Starks, DuJuan Harris
Wide Receiver: Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, Jarrett Boykin, Davante Adams, Jeff Janis
Tight End: Richard Rodgers, Andrew Quarless, Brandon Bostick
Offensive Line: David Bakhtiari, Josh Sitton, Corey Linsley, T.J. Lang, Bryan Bulaga, J.C. Tretter, Lane Taylor, Garth Gerhart, Jamon Meredith
Defensive Line: Mike Daniels, Datone Jones, Letroy Guion, Josh Boyd, Mike Pennel, Luther Robinson
Outside Linebackers: Julius Peppers, Clay Matthews, Mike Neal, Nick Perry, Jayrone Elliott
Inside Linebackers: A.J. Hawk, Brad Jones, Jamari Lattimore, Sam Barrington, Carl Bradford
Cornerbacks: Sam Shields, Tramon Williams, Davon House, Casey Hayward, Jarrett Bush, Demetri Goodson
Safeties: Morgan Burnett, Micah Hyde, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Sean Richardson
Specialists: Mason Crosby, Tim Masthay, Brett Goode
Notes:
- Brandon Bostick and Jayrone Elliott have already been ruled out for Sunday's game.
- Josh Sitton and T.J. Lang are both listed as "probable" for the Eagles game and both are predicted to play like they did last week against the Bears.
- Scott Tolzien, Demetri Goodson and Carl Bradford are all likely to be inactive like they have been for all but one game this season.
- Newly-signed offensive lineman Jamon Meredith is predicted to be inactive like he was last week for the Bears game.
- The final inactive spot came down to choice between Jeff Janis and Luther Robinson. If the Packers are concerned about the Eagles offense, they may want Robinson active, but Janis can probably make the bigger impact on special teams. Robinson is predicted inactive.

Do you think the final spot comes down to Luther Robinson and Jeff Janis or Luther Robinson and Garth Gerhart?
Do they need to have 3 Backup OL? I mean possibly since Sitton and Lang are banged up.

That's a tough one. We have a few OL's playing injured and we have Tretter coming off multiple major injuries, but I'd say that we can probably do without Gerhart. Part of the reason is that Gerhart is likely weaker than some of the other guys we can put in, and he likely won't play at all. If we put someone like Robinson on the active roster then there is a decent chance Robinson could rotate in.
I also think 8 on the active roster is a bit much. Even if Sitton and Lang run into each other and both get hurt, we can still put in Taylor and Tretter and be covered. If worse comes to worse we could put a TE at OT, although we only have 2 of those healthy right now.
If teams are willing to only keep 2 QB's now because there is no 3rd QB rule, then I think we should be willing to stick with 7 active OL's.

Packers signed Perillo and released Meredith. Guess here is that Janis is inactive.
