Packers 46-Man Roster Prediction for Divisional Round Game vs. Cowboys
Safety Sean Richardson is "questionable" for Sunday's game. Will he play? Cheesehead TV has the prediction.
Here's our best guess at predicting the Green Bay Packers' gameday roster for Sunday's divisional round match-up against the Dallas Cowboys. Reminder, only 46 players can be active.
The entire roster is included. Those bold and italicized are predicted to be inactive...
Quarterback: Aaron Rodgers, Matt Flynn, Scott Tolzien
Running Back: Eddie Lacy, John Kuhn, James Starks, DuJuan Harris
Wide Receiver: Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, Jarrett Boykin, Davante Adams, Jeff Janis
Tight End: Richard Rodgers, Andrew Quarless, Brandon Bostick, Justin Perillo
Offensive Line: David Bakhtiari, Josh Sitton, Corey Linsley, T.J. Lang, Bryan Bulaga, J.C. Tretter, Lane Taylor, Garth Gerhart
Defensive Line: Mike Daniels, Datone Jones, Letroy Guion, Josh Boyd, Mike Pennel, Bruce Gaston
Outside Linebackers: Julius Peppers, Clay Matthews, Mike Neal, Nick Perry, Jayrone Elliott
Inside Linebackers: A.J. Hawk, Brad Jones, Sam Barrington, Carl Bradford
Cornerbacks: Sam Shields, Tramon Williams, Davon House, Casey Hayward, Jarrett Bush, Demetri Goodson
Safeties: Morgan Burnett, Micah Hyde, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Sean Richardson, Chris Banjo
Specialists: Mason Crosby, Tim Masthay, Brett Goode
Notes:
- Sean Richardson (knee) is the only player listed as "questionable" for Sunday's playoff game. He is, however, predicted to play with roughly two days to go until the game. Richardson is the team's leading tackler on special teams.
- Four players are listed as "probable," including Aaron Rodgers (calf), Josh Sitton (toe), Davon House (shoulder) and Josh Boyd (knee). All four are projected to play.
- The biggest question may be whether the Packers decide to activate Scott Tolzien for a second consecutive game in light of Rodgers' injury. He was active for the first time this season in the regular-season finale against the Lions, although he didn't play.
- DuJuan Harris was a surprise inactive against the Lions, one of seven deactivated instead of Tolzien. He is in danger of being inactive once again.
- Demetri Goodson was active for the last four games of the regular season but is in danger of being inactive with Davon House predicted to be active for the first time in four games.
- Carl Bradford is the only player on the Packers roster that has been inactive for all 16 games of the regular season.

Brian, did you forget we've been waiting for the playoffs to unleash Janis? That's what I've been hearing anyway!

With the invisible man, Boykin, still being a starter, Janis must be struggling mightily.

I'm considering this as Janis's redshirt year. He came from small school so he has a steeper learning curve. Also to play with Rodgers he needs to be more assignment sure. An offseason to fully digest the playbook. I am looking forward to seeing how he develops next year.

That's what kind of kills me. Some fans jump all over Adams for not always being on the same page w/Rodgers, but they are calling for Janis to get snaps.
