Why is Clay in the ugly category?

I don't know but I think it's a little harsh, especially coming from a bum like Barbre. Must be pent up frustration by Barbre because he was cut by the Packers for SUCKING!! He didn't SEE Barbre coming and now his shoulder is messed up. Maybe the injury is the reason for ugly, but the fact he went out there when the Packers really didn't have ANY OTHER options was admirable. He also got a sack, don't care if Wentz was slowed by dropping the ball. A sack is a sack, especially for a team struggling to get em lately.

And Starks? I'm done with this column.

The question ultimately is: is Starks really as meh as he looks running the ball or is the OL just not that good? Certainly, Starks is this team's 3rd down back, but hopefully Michael will make it to next Sunday to get some run against Houston who is vulnerable on the ground but very good defending the pass. Houston has been a piss-poor road team this season, though.

I was really looking for Michael to get more than one carry, especially with Stark's not exactly killing em. Hopefully next week because we need a LOT more from the RB position.

It's amazing how some people get up so upset when they don't agree with you, hell some even resort to name calling or insulting one's intelligence. Personally I wish Cheesehead TV would kick those off the site. Are they really that insecure they need to resort to name calling and anger when people disagree? People post their Opinions, nothing more or less.

Jason Perone gave Matthews a game ball in his article. Difference of opinion, I guess.

Good: getting a win

Bad: injuries continue to be a factor

Ugly: between the Falcons game and this game, where has this offense been? Starting fast, quick throws....

The good... A win. I've been a bummer because this team has been bumming me out. They played well last night.
A quick passing game... God Damn McCarthy, don't go away from this next week.
Cobb & Nelson... Both played a good game and many catches were for 1st downs.
Spriggs.. That should keep Barclay OFF the field. No way could Barclay have played that well.

Bad... Not seeing more of Michael. They thought he had about 10 to 15 plays he could be used. After almost 2 weeks he should have that many and should have been given a chance to run the ball and see what we have.

Ugly.. CMII Shoulder & Rodgers hammy (If that's what it is)

Cook.. Where was Cook last night? I know the Eagles are one of the better teams defending the TE position but still. Rodgers didn't look at him after the drop.

'A quick passing game... God Damn McCarthy, don't go away from this next week.'

Seriously.....

The last time they had an offense that worked the next game they changed and did something completely different. (Atlanta - Colts games).

I loved seeing the different looks that McCarthy used. And it was great to see the Pistol for a change. But why does it take an injury to Rodgers to use the Pistol?

As for Michael, I think MM was scared he would fumble. Otherwise it's just his tendency to sit players until they know the whole system.

...and, yet, he has no problem giving the ball to Starks?

Good:

Rodgers, Adams, Nelson, Cobb, OL, Mathews, Burnett, Clinton-Dix, Schum, Rollins

Bad:

Starks, Cook, Hyde, Perry

Ugly:
Looking back at the last 4 games, and realizing if they had run the offense like they did in this game (quick passes) they may have won at least 1 of those games. (Colts game comes to mind). 1 more win in those 4 straight losses completely changes our season.

Another Good:

Packers 4th Quarter offense.

They score a TD at the beginning of the 4th Quarter. They are up 24-13 at that point. Then they get the ball back with 10:18 left.
They keep the ball until the 2 minute warning and kick a FG. They had a drive that went 17 plays for 78 yards. A drive that took off 8:21 off the clock...

That was an impressive drive.

To me that was the best drive of the season. It kept the Eagles from even thinking about a comeback and added to their point total. I'm very surprised that Green Bay won this game in the fashion that they did. I don't see how they can continue stopping teams if they keep getting players injured. They got most of their DBs back, but now have no MLBs except Thomas. If CM has to play that position, then where is any reserves?

This was also against a very good defense.

What I liked about the drive was that McCarthy didn't just run the ball. He put the ball in Rodgers hands also.

Very impressive.

You only really need 1 ILB if you play a lot of dime.

Great point RC. Can not remember last time they had a drive like that in 4th quarter. There have been so many late game three and outs that is all I can recall. Amazing what happens when you just go for first downs, on 3rd and whatever. Loved the deep shot attempt to Nelson on 2nd. Right play at right time.

I know they had a good drive similar to that earlier in the year. I can't remember what game.

There is nothing wrong with just getting first downs. taking time off the clock.

I saw a team that played as a team last night. It was far from perfect but its a win. Starks is not great but it is who we have right now.

That is very true. They played and won as a team.

Unfortunately we have to stick with Starks. He knows the offense where as the other 2 don't know it as well.

I think Michael can help in spots for the time being until he knows the offense more. I would like to see him get mixed in more.

Also would like to see more Montgomery.

You made a good point that an analyst was writing about: draft and development wonr work now due to the cba agreement limiting practice. New running back has been on team two weeks and they dont have a handful of plays for him yet? Hey its show time mike, starks cant get it done.

Good: MM's game plan, AR, D.Adams, OL (Bahk, Bulaga, Spriggs), CM3, Dix and Burnett

Bad: Starks, Cook, Hyde, Janis

Ugly: Perry, Encroachment rule

Any semblance of a running game would be a big factor at this point. Maybe we'll see more of Michael next week and we'll see if he brings anything. If yes, this offense becomes difficult to stop. Go Pack Go! Thanks, Since '61

Good, they won
Bad, having to play a team in total dis array for a win
Ugly, short pasxing game ball control to keep that horrid defense off the field. Rushing 5 and 6 to get a pass rush. Having no running back with speed.

That horrid defense only gave up 6 points after Philly's opening drive and about 100 yards in the whole second half. If it were as bad as we've seen the last couple weeks, TOP wouldn't have mattered.

Somehow I don't think Atlanta, Washington, or Indianapolis had any problem with taking a win over a Packer team in "dis array"...

I'll give MM and A-Rod the game Ball. The Bad is Hyde, he has lost his cover skills. The ugly is still Thomas.

I think Starks is still a little hurt. Starks has plenty of deficiencies but a healthy Starks would have taken that screen for 20 yards or maybe to the house. I think it's time to see what Michael can do and let Starks heal some.
