NFC Offensive Player of the Month Goes to Rodgers

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers received the honor handed down by the NFL on Thursday.

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been named the NFC Offensive Player of the Month by the NFL.

He leads the NFL in both completion percentage (71.8%), passer rating (120.9) and touchdown-to-interception ratio (8:1).

Rodgers completed 74 of 103 passes for 917 yards in the month of September while leading the Packers to a 3-0 record, one of only three unbeaten teams in the NFL.

This marks Rodgers' third Player of the Month award, and his second in a row having received the same award in December of 2010. He is the first player to be named NFC Offensive Player of the Month in consecutive months since Marshall Faulk in December of 2000 and September of 2001.

Rodgers (3) and Brett Favre (5) are the only Packers to have won NFC Offensive Player of the Month multiple times.
