Nagler's Never Right: NFL 2014 Season Week 15 Picks

Aaron's NFL picks for Week 15.

Last Week: 8-8

Season: 124-84-1

Arizona vs St. Louis

I chose...poorly.  (Though I was better at halftime…)

Green Bay vs Buffalo

This game should scare the hell out of Packers fans. The Packers have not responded well to physical fronts on the road (Seattle, Detroit) and this Bills front is probably as good, if not better, than any they’ve faced. That said, the Bills’ pop-gun offense probably stops this from being a problem. It will be ugly, but the Packers should get the win.

Cincinnati vs Cleveland

Cleveland embarrassed the Bengals last time around. Don’t expect a repeat. Johnny Manziel will make a few highlight plays, but that won’t win it for Cleveland. While Hoyer was far from exemplary, he’s simply the scapegoat for an offense that has many problems. The Bengals will run the ball early and often and ride the running game to a win.

Houston vs Indianapolis

Andrew Luck vs JJ Watt is fun to watch. It will be more fun for Colts fans, who will see their team’s offense put up another bunch of points. TY Hilton outduels DeAndre Hopkins and the Colts get the win.

Pittsburgh vs Atlanta

The Falcons are most likely going to be without Julio Jones. Even if he plays it will likely be as a major decoy. Both these secondaries can be had. Look for a lot of points and a Steelers victory.

Jacksonville vs Baltimore

The Jaguars’ offensive line vs the Ravens’ defensive front should be scary to watch. Ravens win big.

Tampa Bay vs Carolina

Tampa Bay dodges having to face Cam (again) and this time they get the win. Mike Evans is going to feast against this Carolina secondary.

Oakland vs Kansas City

This Oakland team has a bunch of young talent (and supposedly the man who selected them in the draft is soon to be out of a job. Funny that.) but they don’t sweep the Chiefs. Kansas City can be maddening to watch on offense, but they’ll do enough here to get the win.

Washington vs New York Giants

The Giants keep having to shuffle their offensive line but it’s doubtful it comes back to bite them this week. Washington is a truly terrible football team. The Giants are an inconsistent one. They should get a divisional win at home.

Miami vs New England

The Patriots aren't getting swept by the Dolphins. I hope Joe Philbin is renting...

New York Jets vs Tennessee

U-G-L-Y, this game ain’t got no alibi, it’s ugly. Give me the Titans because why the hell not.

San Francisco vs Seattle

The 49ers are completely dysfunctional on offense. Heading into Seattle is just about the worst thing that could happen for this team. Kap and Harbaugh are going to go down together and it isn’t going to be pretty. Seahawks win big.

Denver vs San Diego

The Chargers offense can most likely keep pace for awhile, but eventually their defense will fold under the weight of Peyton and a new-found running game. The Broncos win one that will be close until the 4th quarter.

Minnesota vs Detroit

The Vikings will play stout defense. Their young quarterback will make some plays. But ultimately, the Lions are just a much better team. Detroit should have control of this one well before the 4th quarter.

Dallas vs Philadelphia

I don’t expect the Cowboys to get blown out again, but I do expect the Eagles to put up a bunch of points. I also expect Dallas’ offense to keep pace this time. Jason Witten was the forgotten man last time around and I expect him to be the difference in this one. The Cowboys get another road victory.

New Orleans vs Chicago

As bad as the Saints looked last week against Carolina - and they looked plenty bad - the Bears have given up. They have looked ready for the offseason for the last three weeks. There are few things more disheartening for a fanbase than watching players who have packed it in, and that’s what Bears fans are being treated to these days. The Saints get the win.
