To anyone ripping the Packers ST.
2 extra points missed 1 FG= 5 points.
One 75 punt return= 7 points.
+ 2 for the special teams.
The blocked punt..............no points, ty second string defense.
Still + 2.
Don't fire anyone yet.

I'd rather Capers fired before Slocum, but you left out the fact that a punt return sacrifices your possession while missing extra points and FG's are just lost points, so it's really +2 and a lost possession. Also, getting technical, it was a fumbled punt and not a blocked punt because the punt never touched the punter's foot.

And I'm an idiot because I was thinking of the week before. So really, the TD gives us 7 points but costs us a possession, the missed FG costs us field position and 3 points, the 2 PAT's missed/aborted costed us another 2 points, and the blocked punt costs us another possession. That's an ugly special teams game even with the return for a TD.

Whatever the mathematical breakdown is, a blocked XP and punt is bad

The missed 50 yard FG in freezing temps, whatever. That happens (they should have gone for it anyway). The other two cannot happen, regardless of the return TD.

Yeah, for me the blocked extra point was the worst.

Punts get blocked, (Packers blocked one the previous week), and FG's 50 yards and out are not guarantees, especially with the bad weather and the turf not being the best.
I don't like that the punt got blocked but IMO, there is no excuse to have a blocked extra point.

How about Mikey calling a time out right before half thereby giving the Eagles time enough to go drive down and get 3 points. How many times is he going to get burned with that before he learns to just let them run out the clock?

Wasn't that 3rd and long? If the D holds there he gets the ball back with time to attempt a drive for more points. It was a calculated risk. The D didn't do their part on the play, and so it looked like a bad call, but that doesn't mean that it was the wrong one.

That one made sense, as the Eagles were moving the ball poorly.

What are we going to do about A.J Hawk, how long are the packers and Capers continue to have to scheme around Hawks weaknesses.... He cant cover he cant plug holes, why is he on the field..... Im starting Barrington and taking my chances...

Barrington, Lattimore, and Jones have all had their chances and they were so bad that Matthews ended up getting moved because of it. I am not a fan of AJ Hawk, but it is telling that he is playing a lot more than the other full time ILBs.

All three linebackers you mentioned were put in the WILL lb position were Matthews is now ( responsible... rushing passer, run support, covering receiver) Hawk plays the MIKE lb ( Anchor or stud linbacker, stop run first, call out formations ) Now that they have the WILL lb position figured out ( FINALLY ) they can move barrington to the MIKE, So what if he makes some mistakes he was a MIKE at CENT FL and is a stud hitter... How many tackles does Hawk make....How many runners or players do you see him hit head -on like the rest of the defense does ( a secret to his longevity buy the way ) Im worried Matthews and our safeties , and linbackers are going to get burned out covering for that COWARD..... Get him off the field before he costs us a big game.... Read Packer beat writer B. McGinns reveiws of Hawk....

Coward? Bit strong don't you think. He's just not quick, But he's probably leading the team in tackles. Like Burnette, he's played along side of some pretty poor lber's, the last few years. Right now the defense is playing pretty dam good, and you want to fix it.
