Matt Flynn Gets Starters Reps at Packers Practice

After a brief moment of jubilation in learning that Aaron Rodgers practiced for the first time on Tuesday since breaking his collarbone, the air was let out of the balloon by Packers head coach Mike McCarthy.
In response to yesterday's comments that Rodgers' odds of playing in Thursday's Thanksgiving game against the Lions was "slim to none," McCarthy said on Tuesday that it was "closer to none."
The Packers head coach also acknowledged that Flynn received repetitions as the starter at quarterback, as the team prepares to play without Aaron Rodgers, and goes with Flynn in favor of backup Scott Tolzien.

Flynn or Tolzein doesn't matter. Either way Green Bay is going to win this game!! I have an inkling though not having Franklin hurts us big time.

Sorry there Shankman, but, there's a good chance that 'Scotty' never sees another snap as a GB Packer. Flynn will probably be resigned & become the long term back-up to AR. Teams just can't afford to use a roster spot for someone who's unlikely to ever play.

I would not be surprised to see Flynn creamed on the first series and Tolzien play the rest of the game..... the way things have been going for the Pack, this is not out of the realm of reality at all

Yeah, I know I did but this is different. I have a fever about this game and I need more cowbell damnit!! I just know the Packers will win this one. You have to believe me on this.
Josh Sitton purposely has called Jim Schwartz "a dick" so this is definately going to be a war and the Packers are the ones picking the fight. They want this one bad!!

Well that's fine with me having three pro bowl type quarterbacks. I totally understand you can't keep three great ones so one must go. Whatever they do they must stick it to the other team and get as much as they can for either Tolzein or Flynn. Both are hot commodities on the open market. I am pretty sure some teams are drooling over getting one of these two.

You must be joking. If Flynn or Tolzien weren't playing for GB, I'm not sure either would be on any roster. They've both been dumped more than once by other teams.
They're better than BJ, Young, Harrell & Wallace. That's about it.

It's real simple. If Flynn wins he signs a mulit million dollar deal to be our backup to Rodgers for as long as Rodgers plays. If Flynn loses than the Packers sign Tolzein to a multimillion dollar deal and Flynn probably goes plays for Jacksonville or Houston. It's a win win .

Our secondary gets worse every day ...Megatron might have a seasons worth of yards on Thursday. Yes it matters who is under center for us,and if you don't think it matters you are stupid! The Lions have ascended to be my least favorite team in the NFC North. The Vikings are bad to the point of being emasculated. The Bears are awful, but without Cutler back there its hard to really dislike anybody else that much, well except for Marshall.
The Lions have a parade of dicks: Schwartz, Su, Raiola, that drunk frat boy idiot at QB etc.
Ironically, their best player (Megatron), going outside the star receiver stereotype, seems to be somewhat normal and dare I say, humble?
Unless A-Rodge pulls a Walt Frazier: Lions 34 - Packers 20. And I hope to hell I am wrong.
