Good job guys... Watching AR12 and R Cobb walking off the field together it sure left me with a feeling like either one will be back next season. If the front office could have done their job and surrounded AR12 with enough talent, I truly believe the Packers would be playing next week. De'Vante Adams was clearly the missing piece to the Packers offense, he has helped/saved AR12 in so many ways over the years with some outstanding catches. AR12 at times looked lost this season without D Adams. With the Packers so salary caped strapped I see no other way then to trade AR12 for some draft picks and start the Jordan Love era. And believe me I would rather AR12 finish his football career in GB but the Front office for whatever reason is unable to provide enough talent around him to succeed/win in the NFL. This team will look a lot different come training camp...

They were on camera and it was just drama queen stuff that Rodgers loves to do. I would be so shocked that Rodgers comes back next year for a measely 56 million.

I agree completely. 12 held out for the money, wanted to be paid and so that along with some other players salaries, which they deserve, we are in cap hell. Rodgers salary is the main reason, so I find it interesting why he doesn't understand that we can't afford to surround him with top talent.

Funny, I told my wife Diva boy knew their were camaras on him so I think he tried to stage this to make it look like its all over.
You can bet he is going to do the winter long will he wont he routine again.
My opine, he aint turning down 56 mil, can really use that in retirement for a start up.

Am I the only one making the connection between the Packers' late season surge and Aaron Rodgers more normalizing his haircut? I absolutely believe that haircut Aaron had at the beginning of the season engendered bad karma.

In any event, I can see it was not meant to be despite the improvement in Aaron's hairstyle later in the season.

We saw a rising team hungry to win and an older team trying to play yesterdays game - run first pass second, and it didnt work well.
This is the LeFleur scheme - keep the d off the field they suck.

Teams were firing coaches today but I havent heard a peep about Barry and his supporting cast. I see no hope going forward if this team keeps him on the books and thinks a few more acquisitions and it will be fixed.
You got as they say "same ol shit, different day" if tht happens.

MLF said in an interview that he doesn’t anticipate any coaching changes. This is where Murphy is supposed to say, “That’s fine, Matt. Good luck in your next job.”

LaFleur just signed an extension, so there's no way the penny-pincher will fire him now. Instead, we'll just have to watch as LaFleur fires himself over the next two or three years.

Kingsbury of the Cardinals just signed an extension but was fired today. That is no reason not to get rid of a bad coach.

Flower will say, "just look at the metrics!" His spreadsheet says the D was not really as bad as we all saw it on the field game after game.

Well, since it is officially mock draft season now, I thought I'd present my mock draft, now that the Packers' picks have been solidified.

As an extra note, I am predicting that the Jaguars will pick #21 overall and that we will trade Preston Smith to the Panthers (who badly need another DE opposite Brian Burns) for a 5th round pick to round out this draft. Here it is:

15: TE Michael Mayer, Notre Dame - He is a great pass catcher and blocker. The best TE in the draft.
46: EDGE Will McDonald IV, Iowa St. - He is an expert at rushing the passer. Despite being mis-used in the Cyclones' defense, he still has racked up 27 sacks over the last 3 years.
78: WR Xavier Hutchinson, Iowa St. - The Packers take another Cyclone, a 6'3, 205 lb WR that specializes in contested catches.
116: S Ji’Ayir Brown, Penn St. - When he played FS in 2021, he logged 6 picks. He has also excelled in the SS role this year for the Nittany Lions.
143 (via Panthers): OLB Ivan Pace Jr, Cincinnati - Pace is underweight, but is extremely good against the run. The Packers need someone like that
149: DT Robert Cooper, Florida St. - Cooper is massive at 335 lbs. He can also help to improve the run D as a run stuffer
170 (comp): TE Kemore Gamble, UCF - Gamble is more of an receiving TE with great athletic traits to contrast Mayer earlier.
217 (comp): OT Jordan McFadden, Clemson - McFadden has some positional versatility, which is good.
225 (via Rams): CB Lance Boykin, Coastal Carolina - Dallin Leavitt, Eric Wilson, and some other STers will be free agents this offseason. Boykin can help to replace them, as he's been great at CC in that department.
233: S Quindell Johnson, Memphis - The Packers need more depth at safety, and Johnson can provide that.
239 (via Jaguars): RB Xazavian Valladay, Arizona St. - With Aaron Jones likely gone, the Packers add a new body as they try to re-sort their RB room.

No need to waste picks on blockers. Newman and Hanson are plenty good enough.

So we don't want good O-line depth? I don't see Hanson returning for 2023. If Gutey has nailed any position over his tenure in GB, it's the OL.

The Packers are lousy with OL depth. Just at tackle they will likely have Bakh, Jenkins, Nijman, Newman, Rasheed Walker, Caleb Jones and Luke Tenuta.

Myers and Runyan are good depth. GB just needs a starting center and another starting guard. Draft a couple. Take one at #46.

So you'd be fine lining up Walker, Jones, Newman etc. against a quality opponent in a big game?

Bakh, Jenkins and Nijman can play OT. Newman as the 4th OT is better than many teams can manage. If Bakh or Nijman go down, Jenkins can slide in at LT or RT. I am confident that with another offseason to heal, Jenkins will be an above average to high quality OT. As for Rasheed, Caleb and Tenuta, another training camp probably whittles that group to one, and that final guy standing becomes the 5th OT. That would be fine.

I suspect that Newman is a better RT than Myers is a center. At any rate, that competition is too close. Knowing Myers is a liability and doing nothing about it is not the way to go. Runyan is okay at RG. Drafting a center/guard at 46 would provide competition for the two weakest positions on the OL. Games are won in the trenches.

I kind of said they had no chance when they were at 6%. My take the Vikes and the LIons both would kick their ass and end their season. I had one of two right.

The same things that were problems in week one were still problems in week 18. That is succinct. It leads to two conclusions: coaching or personnel, but some of the problems are not related to physical ability. Those leave coaching.

LaFleur needs to look at his staff, and at himself. No HC is great at everything, so he needs to find staff that complement him.
