Jerry Kramer Snubbed Again by Hall of Fame Senior Committee
The NFL Hall of Fame announced two senior nominees for possible induction and neither name is Jerry Kramer.
Punter Ray Guy and DE Claude Humphrey named senior nominees for #PFHOF14. Details to come on http://ProFootballHOF.com — Pro Football HOF (@ProFootballHOF) August 21, 2013
Jerry Kramer's daughter, Alicia has spent the last couple of years actively campaigning for her father's nomination. After seeing Packer Dave Robinson nominated and inducted in last year's class, many were hopeful that this would finally be Kramer's year. Alicia tweeted the following congratulating the nominees.
The 2 senior candidates for 2014 are Falcons/Eagles DE Claude Humphrey and Raiders P Ray Guy. Congrats to those nominees. — Alicia E. Kramer (@JerryKramer4HOF) August 21, 2013

Disgusting. Also, I'm surprised Ray Guy wasn't already in there. I figured a guy with an award named after him was already enshrined.

Until Jerry Kramer is inducted, hopefully in his lifetime, it will be the NFL Hall of Fraud to me.

I recently heard an interview with Rich Gosselin after this years HOF enshrinement's and it sounded to me like he was gung-ho about getting Kramer in next year. Plus doesn't Shapiro have Wisconsin ties? Whole thing about not getting in seems odd to me.
They need to get him in while he can still walk to the podium.

Mr. Kramer's was 53% in career field goals. ...I'm sorry , that may land you a spot as a kicker for the Packers of 2013 but it ain't getting you in to Canton.

I don't think Kramer's candidacy is based on his placekicking skills. Just guessing here......
Guy's nomination is interesting because a lot of the same arguments used against Kramer were used against Guy. Growing up in the 70s, I'd figure Ray Guy was a lock, but apparently quite a few who matter had a different opinion. Maybe this signals the first brick falling from the wall against Kramer.

Masterfake I don't think you know what Jerry Kramer really was known for. Not as a kicker, but as a Guard.
