Green Bay Ranked Best City for Football Fans

The annual WalletHub survey once again has Green Bay ranked the best place in the country for football fans.

The general state of Packer fandom has been a whole lot of doom and gloom lately, which is more than understandable given the massively disappointing campaign the team has put together this year. But there is still plenty of reason to love being a Packer fan.

Here's the latest of those reasons; in a survey by WalletHub, Green Bay was ranked the top city in the nation for football fans (and 21st overall for all sports). It has been first on the list several years in a row now among football cities.

From the Green Bay Press-Gazette:

"For its survey, WalletHub compared 419 cities using 50 measures related to the five largest sports int he United States: football, basketball, baseball, hockey and soccer.

The overall ranking is remarkable because Green Bay finished dead last in baseball and hockey, and was 127th in soccer and 181st in basketball. Apparently, Green Bay's football counts more than everyone else's everything else."

Lagging behind Green Bay in the football rankings were Pittsburgh, Dallas and Boston.

Boston finished as the best overall sports city in the nation.

Even with a subpar product on the field, it's hard to argue that the Packers provide one of the best gameday experiences you'll find anywhere in the country. From the tailgating to the historic venue to the awesome dedication to history all over Lambeau and the Packer Hall of Fame, few other teams get gameday right in the same way the Packers do. The rapidly developing Titletown District promises only to enhance the gameday opportunities for Packer fans.

So while it's been a rough season, it's still great to be a Packer fan.

I have been a Packer fan since I was old enough to be able to watch a football game and understand what I was viewing. Many of my friends don't understand why I am a Packer fan, seeing I live 45 miles Southeast of Pittsburgh, PA. But that's OK. I am, and always will be, a Green Bay Packer fan!! I even have a cheesehead :-) I get asked about my Packer apparel all the time when I am out and about. My favorite Super Bowl of all time was Super Bowl 45 :-) I am surrounded by Steeler fans but when I get harassed by any of them I remind them of Super Bowl 45. Then it's my turn to rub it in a little. Many have tried to convert me to be a Steeler fan. I am not sorry to tell them I am a Packer fan for life. After about 53 years, I am now 64, I think many know that good old Dave is what he says he is, a die hard Green Bay Packer backer. Nothing will ever change that!! Go! Pack! Go!

I lived in the Twin Cities area for 5 years during Randy Moss' heyday, when the Vikings had a brief period of success over the Packers (late 90's). I proudly wore Packer apparel all the time. Viking fans gave me a lot of grief, but when push came to shove, I always knew how to shut them up. Since I was a smoker back in those days, I would remove the cellophane wrapper from a pack of smokes, set it upside-down on the bar and ask the Viking fans what it was. When they looked at me quizzically and said "I don't know, what is it?", I'd reply "It's the Vikings trophy case". You could hear the crickets chirping after that.

I go to a Packer game each year and try to explain to others what a magical place it is to watch football. The tailgating is awesome and in all those years I have never seen an altercation. Wish I could say that about other cities I have watched a Packer game at. So much class in Green Bay! Proud to be a Packer fan from the early 60s.

This is a piece of very happy news for those people who are die-hard football fans who live in Greenbay. Celebrate this awesome chance. And try to keep this position in the upcoming years also. https://gethostingproviders.com/hostsailor/
