From Brian: All I Can Say Is Thank You
Brian Carriveau thanks the Cheesehead TV readers and family as he steps away from writing and editorial duties.
Cutting right to the chase, I will be stepping away from editorial and writing duties at Cheesehead TV effective Friday Apr. 3.
I have been offered a full-time position at 247Sports.com as a writer for their dedicated website on the Green Bay Packers, specifically at gnb.247sports.com.
247Sports.com is a network known for its coverage of college sports but is expanding its NFL operations. I'll be doing a lot of the same things there that I've been doing here: reporting, podcasting, opining.
The starting date there is Monday Apr. 20, and I encourage you to follow along.
In the meantime, I'll be continuing the Railbird Central podcast here at Cheesehead TV indefinitely.
It's been a fun ride here at Cheesehead TV that for me dates back to 2010, although we collaborated on several projects before that time.
I've had the opportunity to cover three Super Bowls and five NFL Combines for this website, opportunities that I'll never forget and ones not typically afforded to so-called "bloggers."
Hosting the longest-tenured internet-exclusive podcast on the Packers (defined by the number of episodes) has also been a thrill.
Instead of saving my thanks to the readers, listeners and followers for last, they'll instead come first. If it wasn't for all of you, what started as a hobby back in 2005 never would have reached this point.
Thanks also to Cheesehead TV co-founders Aaron Nagler and Corey Behnke, who always allowed me to cover the Packers as I see fit. The platform they provided and the doors they opened were and still are much appreciated.
Finally, thanks to the contributors at Cheesehead TV, both the website and our draft guide that include Alex Tallitsch, Jayme Snowden, Zach Kruse, Andrew Garda, C.D. Angeli, Al Bracco, Paul Guillemette, Jay Hodgson, Robert Olson and Robert Strupp. It's been great working with all of them.
Cheesehead TV is one of the best, if not the best, independent NFL team websites in existence. As such, it will always be a special place for me, and I hope it will remain that way for you too.
Even though my writing might be hosted elsewhere, I'll remain a part of the Packers community on the Internet and can always be reached at @BrianCarriveau on Twitter. Don't be a stranger. Drop a line. And as always...
Go Pack Go!

Thanks to you (and maybe a little bit of Ben's strange love for LaMichael James- in the comments section), cheeseheadtv is the FIRST place I look to for Packers news. You'll be missed. Helluva writer. I look forward to checking out your new digs on 4-20, brah!

Congrats on your new position, Brian.
So well-deserved from my point of view - and thank you for all your contributions first at Railbird Central (before it became a part of CHTV) and here at CHTV throughout the last few years.
I look forward to keep reading/listening to your "stuff" in the future.
Best wishes from Denmark, Europe

Brian, you are the man! You are, by far, my favorite Packers beat writer. Reading your analysis post-game and following along and interacting with you during the game on Twitter have become integral parts of my Packers experience and fandom. You do fantastic work and deserve to take a new, bigger step as much as anyone. Keep up the good work!

I owe so much to Brian. For giving me chances, when others didn't, to him helping me develop my own writing craft, to him sharing good times in Dallas and at Phish shows.
We won't be the same without him. There's a definite hole in the middle now.

Brian rocks.
Most of you don't know the jump he made professionally to do this writing gig full-time. He's lived the dream by earning his knocks over the years. Made sacrifices along the way to live out something most of us just wish we could do full-time.
Brian, best of luck to you. No one is happier for you than...well, probably you first, then your wife. Then maybe me. You know what I mean.
Congrats.

You will be missed around here. You are one of few bloggers that simply does not regurgitate other people's articles with a slight twist. You offer real knowledge on the Packers and give us angles and information not found elsewhere. Good luck in your new gig!

Brian, thanks for all of the work that you've put into this site and into your podcast. Does this mean that the 2016 Draft Guide will have a new lead editor/writer, or will you be doing a cameo appearance with that product?
