Former Packer Ahmad Carroll to Participate in Officiating Academy

Former Packer players, Ahmad Carroll and Mark Collins, along with 10 other NFL players, will be attending the Tom Beard Football Officials Clinic.

The three day program, running March 14-16, will include classroom and on-field instruction. Key speakers and instructors include: Super Bowl XLVII Referee Jerome Boger, NFL Vice President of Officiating Dean Blandino and previous Super Bowl referee Scott Green.

I wish he would have gone to the "How not to be a Dumbass Academy" when we drafted him in '04.

How is he going to be able to throw a penalty flag wearing "boxing gloves" ? Mike Sherman had him practice with them on to try to get him out of the habit of grabbing people. Sherman was the worst GM in team history, not only with draft choices but free agents as well. Good thing Harlan stipped him of his duties. In all fairness he was a solid NFL and college coach but the best way to describe his GM capability was that he could not spot a QB at a Manning family reunion.
