Clay Matthews Called a Full Practice Participant Despite Groin Injury

The Packers linebacker practiced in full for the first time since being injured Week 3.

Even though Clay Matthews played against the Chicago Bears this past Sunday, he was a listed as a limited practice participant all last week on the Green Bay Packers' injury report.

Matthews' limited status remained the same on Monday on the first injury report of the week for the Packers, two days earlier than normal because of they play the Vikings in a Thursday night football game this week and an approximation because the team didn't practice.

That changed on Tuesday as Matthews was classified as a "full" practice participant for the first time since injuring his groin in a Week 3 game against the Detroit Lions.

Matthews intercepted a football on a pass broken up by teammate Tramon Williams against the Bears but didn't look 100 percent and frequently rotated with the other outside linebackers on the roster.

Three other Packers players did not practice on Tuesday: wide receiver Jarrett Boykin (groin), defensive lineman Josh Boyd (knee) and linebacker Sam Barrington (hamstring), which mirrored their approximate status on Monday.

Linebacker Brad Jones remained a limited participant.
