Here's how the staff at Cheesehead TV believes the 2014 season will shake out for the Green Bay Packers, with a final-four playoff prediction and Super Bowl winner also included:

Packers record: 11-5 

Starting with 3 of 4 on the road is tough. Even if they start 2-2, there will be more than a few stumbles along the way. 

NFC Championship: Saints over Packers
AFC Championship: Patriots over Colts

The Packers have a good, talented team, but New Orleans is better and nearly unbeatable at home unless you have a Top 5 defense. The Packers won't. Everyone is sick of the Patriots, but the additions of Revis and Browner along with the return of Vince Wilfork make them incredibly tough on D.

Super Bowl: Saints over Patriots

Over the next 17 weeks, the Packers will travel to the two most difficult venues in the NFL (Seattle, New Orleans), welcome Bill Belichick and Chip Kelly to Lambeau Field and face six games against an improved division. Also, Cam Newton's Panthers won 12 games last season; Matt Ryan's Falcons were a few yards from the Super Bowl in January of 2013. The 2014 Packers will be a battle-tested group. Winning 11 games would be nothing to sneeze at. The problem would come in January, when home-field advantage in the NFC figures to be a critical prize to claim.

As nice as it would be for the Packers to go 16-0, it's inevitable they'll hit some road blocks along the way as they face a difficult schedule, particularly the first month of the season, and what should be an improved NFC North.

Packers record: 12-4

Assuming the Packers sweep two division teams and split the series with either the Bears or Lions, I have the Packers with a 5-1 record in the division. Then assuming between tougher opponents of Seattle, New Orleans, New England, Carolina, Atlanta, and Philadelphia the Packers will for 3 - 3. I have the Packers winning vs the Jets, Dolphins, Bills and Buccaneers to get to a final record of 12 - 4. The defense should be stronger than last season and with the return of the Aaron Rodgers for hopefully the entire season, the Packers should have no trouble winning four more games than they did in 2013.

I'd like to predict this just a little bit higher, but I think that the loss of BJ Raji in the middle will simply compound the middle of this defense was already suffering from. It's too bad, because Raji appeared to be playing with a chip on his shoulder this preseason, and shifting him back to his natural NT position was only going to strengthen the biggest weakness this defense had.

That stated, assuming all stay relatively healthy, this offense will be second to none in the league, and will win most shootouts. After an 0-1 start, you'll see the Packers start churning as they always do when their back is against the wall, losing no games afterwards by more than three points.

I also believe that the NFC North will be mediocre enough that the Packers will still win the division title by virtue of tiebreakers.

Unfortunately, unless the defense shapes up, I think the Packers make it to the semifinals before losing to either the Saints or 49ers.  I see the Saints visiting the Seahawks in Seattle and losing. Luck goes to Boston. Runs out of luck.

Tough non-division games—Carolina, New England, Philadelphia, New Orleans. Should be able to win 4/6 divisional games. 11-5 seems fair with a playoff run. Not sure I like us against Broncos but what the hell.

I think for the first time since 2010 the Packers are well rounded enough to have a good a shot as any. This season will come down to health and depth, the only thing really holding the Packers back from a championship.

This team has the potential for 12 wins, but 11 is a more conservative estimate. The defense should be at least a little better than last year, but I still think this team is one year away from the Super Bowl.
