Expectations coming into the season:  Selected with the 206th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, it's pretty clear the expectation is for Ripkowski to replace John Kuhn at fullback. Of course, as Kuhn was coming off a career year with All-Pro accolades, Ripkowski was expected to mostly work on special teams.

Player’s highlights/low-lights: Ripkowski had no real big plays, but also didn't make any major mistakes.

Level of Expectations met:  Ripkowski gained some weight and worked hard on special teams, ending up with the third most tackles (7) behind Jeff Janis (12) and Chris Banjo (10). According to Pro Football Focus' metrics, he missed two tackles, the third most in the unit behind Demetri Goodson and Jake Ryan both of whom had three. He saw very little time on offense, but performed competently blocking for both run and pass plays.

Grade: B

Player’s contributions to team success:  Ripkowski had very little impact on the success or failure of the Packers. He did help on special teams, where he was aggressive and assisted in limiting the damage on returns.

Grade: B

Player’s contributions in the playoffs:  He had no role in either playoff game.

Grade: N/A

Intangibles/misc: There have been no reports that he stood out either in a positive or negative light.

Grade: N/A

Overall Grade:  B

Had one pretty nice play early in year. Not given any opportunities, hopefully that changes this year.

I know you would think as the season wore on and the O was struggling, they would have run it at least one other time.

You and I have brought this up during the season. Why they didn't go back to that play again?

Hopefully he can come in next year and get more playing time.

Nah, plenty of us had much higher expectations. Some thought Rip might cause GB to cut Kuhn altogether. I think many of us expected Rip to challenge Kuhn in-season, or at least get some snaps. 18 snaps on offense for the whole year is no where near what I expected. He was good on STs, which I didn't particularly expect. Expectation: C overall, a B for STs and a D for offense.

Contribution to the team: I liked the tiny amount that I saw of him as a FB. Did play STs, and did it well. C+.
Playoffs: Nada
Overall: Grade C

Except for ST play, I need to see more of Rip before I can fairly evaluate his performance as a FB. Thanks, Since '61

Grade should be incomplete. Aside from ST work, he didn't have enough snaps on offense.
