2022 Packers Stock Report: Week 10

Take a look at the stock report for the Green Bay Packers after a 31-28 win over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 10.

Everybody stop the presses. The Green Bay Packers won a football game.

I've been in a pretty good mood all week up to this point because of it. I kind of forgot what it was like to win.

Snapping a five game losing streak was just what the doctor ordered.

So let's get into the stock report for the Green Bay Packers after a 31-28 win over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 10.

BUY

Christian Watson- It's no secret that Christian Watson has had a less-than-ideal start to his NFL career. After a tough drop in the first game against Minnesota, Watson has been unable to stay on the field due to various injuries. Sunday, though? Finally, redemption. Watson had two drops to start the game, but followed it up with four catches for 107 yards and three touchdowns. It's easy to see that the kid can fly, and his athletic ability is through the roof. This was exactly the type of game needed to jump-start his career (and this Packers offense). Buy.

Rudy Ford- The coaching staff finally made the change. With Eric Stokes out, Rasul Douglas was bumped to outside corner, Darnell Savage played in the nickel and Rudy Ford moved into the safety spot. And he moved in nicely. Ford intercepted Dak Prescott twice, which both led to touchdowns. The sixth-year veteran out of Auburn isn't afraid of contact and plays aggressively, which is a nice change of pace from Savage. He's already shined on special teams this season. He's now shining on defense.

Yosh Nijman- Yosh Nijman would be a starting tackle for a lot of teams in the National Football League. He proved himself last year as a strong left tackle in the absence of David Bakhtiari. His transition over to the right side has been seamless. The Cowboys sent Micah Parsons at him many times on Sunday, and Nijman handled the test well. Currently, he leads NFL tackles in pass block win rate and is second in run blocking. He's developed well, but it's still crazy to think the Packers valued him as a backup left tackle for so long.

SELL

Rich Bisaccia- I've officially come to the conclusion that Rich Bisaccia has underperformed up to this point. Through nine games, the Packers don't look much different on special teams compared to years' past. Which is the biggest surprise to me, because of how much the front office paid Bisaccia in order to be the savior. On top of special teams overall, the personnel decisions have been shocking. How could you possibly continue to stick Amari Rodgers out there to catch punts? The Packers almost paid the price again due to Rodgers' fumble (which was his seventh in the past two years). That unit still has work to do.

Joe Barry- I guess this is a coach-themed 'sell' section this week, but oh my goodness Joe Barry drives me crazy. 3rd-and-6 and the defensive backs are playing 10 yards off. That was the easiest pitch and catch I've ever seen. Also, after playing aggressive for the majority of the first half, Barry went soft in an effort to not give up a big play and the Cowboys waltzed right down the field to tie up the game before halftime. Ugh. Barry is also the same guy who, last week, said the Packers didn't currently have a safety to replace Darnell Savage. Rudy Ford just played that position *checks notes* better than Savage. Sell.

HOLD

Mason Crosby- Mason Crosby hit the game-winner. He's still incredibly effective inside of 45 yards. But it really just looks like he doesn't have the power anymore to make from long distances. His 54-yard attempt came up woefully short. Most of kicks barely get up in the air. I like Mason a lot, I really do. He's been the epitome of class for the entirety of his career in Titletown. But I think this will most-likely be his last season. However, I'm sure he'll make more important kicks this season, so for now, hold.

I hope we’ll be buying Nixon too. He’s stepped in every time he’s been called on, and he’s done admirably. Not so sure I like the over the head punt reception, but it beats the heck out of handing it to the other team as was our custom.

Nixon may not be a crook, but Ford was definitely a thief on Sunday... GPG!

HA! You need to Carterize your comments. I'm sure we can get "I'm not a crook!" in with some of the previous ones too. LOL. Showing my age, I think.

Buy - the offensive scheme.
Ran the ball effectively, inside, outside, left and right then threw to open receivers into open windows all over the field.
Sell - anybody that verbally and fitfully torches a teammate or coach during the game. I'm selling the total lack of professionalism. I understand competitiveness and fire. I can't accept petulance within a team.

Dude get over it - I think I've seen you post something along these lines (if not copy/paste) on nearly every article this week. We're asking these guys to go out there PUMPED UP adrenaline racing with nothing but the desire to win pumping through their veins and you're getting bent out of shape over someone showing a little bit of emotion after a 5 game losing streak? JC that's what we've been begging for for weeks now. Thank god somebody is showing a little bit of life out there!

Hold: Watson. Very encouraging game from him to be sure, but needs to be more consistent and needs to shine in multiple games before I'm ready to buy.

Buy: Ford. Has been a difference maker on defense and special teams. A top-notch signing by Gute.

Buy: McDuffie--has done a solid job filling in.

Hold: Bisaccia. You must be kidding to sell him. Have you forgotten some of last season's travails with FG protection, bad snaps, back-breaking opponent returns, etc.? And I doubt he is fully to blame for the decision to stick with Amari for so long. Also remember that his influence probably led to bringing Ford, Nixon, and Leavitt on board.

Sell: Run defense. This needs to get fixed with the players we have, because I can't see us devoting more resources (except for safety) to improving this area in the near future. And as mentioned in the previous article, we got chewed up pretty badly on draw plays.

Excellent points on Bisaccia. By that measure Barry should have been gone yesterday. Oh wait he should have been, but it's never too late

Buy: The O-line as a unit. You can point to individual fails during the game but against that D to rush for over 200 and have your QB with a 147+ QBR is a keeper. Had them on hold last week till I saw some more of their work together. Now if they'll stay together, it should be improving.

Sell: The stuff that Gunnar sells. It's hard to see any continuity if your coaches seem to fail to see what is obvious to everyone else let alone the NFL teams that they play.

Hold: Sunday's win. It's a start. Every week, just win one.

Even Bisaccia? I don't buy that sell recommendation at all until someone from within the organization says it was his decision to keep trotting Amari out there - might be a good question for II ;)

Here is where TNF has a value for the fans, at least Packer fans. The three-day get ready period will tell us.

1) If the team is spent or invigorated after the win over Dallas.
2) If MLF can install a game plan that will satisfy Rodgers, player use, or return to his prior state of being, lost.

I'm looking at my toes dandling over the stock market for GB, and I'll need to see answers, one way or another to the above, before I reinvest a prior pulled investment. I simply need more than watching a broken team stand using the crutch that the opponent always seems to have at the ready to offer up. Yes, I'll pay a little more or lose a little profit for a stock for waiting/getting more stable info.

Buy:
Quay Walker. He is so speedy from sideline to sideline, and he looks more comfortable, making some key stops. I think that the Packers should replace him with McDuffie and try him on the edge, at OLB, where he can use his 4.52 speed to get after the QB. Other ILB-OLB transfers have had success rushing the passer, such as the Cowboys’ Micah Parsons or the Broncos’ Baron Browning, and he is very similar physically to both of those players.
Kingsley Enagbare. He had a couple of pressures and QB hits and made some nice run stops. He has set the edge well and has been strong against the run, surprising considering run defense was his college weakness. He also knows how to rush the passer really well.
AJ Dillon. He looked like the Dillon of old on Sunday! He should be a key part of our gameplan against the Titans on Thursday.

Sell:
Elgton Jenkins. Will he ever get back to his pre-injury form? Even though our O-line in general was tremendous on Sunday, he has struggled sometimes even at LG, his natural position, and gave up a sack on Sunday.

Hold:
Darnell Savage. I know that Savage has been criticized by many, but I think using his speed to blitz is a creative idea. We will see if he can succeed more in the Nickel spot.
Devonte Wyatt. I still want to see more of him!

Agree on Barry—as do most of us.
Disagree on Bisaccia —he’s a good coach and has proven it elsewhere. The field goal unit is no longer flawed and now Amari is gone—punt returns are going to improve—count on it!
I posted previously that Masons’s kickoffs are very poor, but we corrected that against Dallas with O’Donnell kicking off—into the endzone
Buy: Enagbare
Beat the Titans—we have/know the formula.

The retention of Amari for so long despite the results raises many questions. To none of which are we ever likely to get an answer.

Buy: Running more and Passing less.

Sell: Returning punts. It's stupid. It's low percentage. Your punt return unit will hurt you more than it will help you. Everybody muffs punts and fumbles....look it up. The next guy will too.

Hold: The Offensive Line. This configuration looks pretty capable. It took a while but it looks like we've got a line that's good enough for us to move the ball.

Buy: The "Death Dealer" Christian Watson. A win is 1-play away. IF ML and company can get a little creative.
Scoring points will no longer be as hard to accomplish. ( Running more...passing less.)

Sell: DC

Hold: We have the correct OL in place "Everyone has been screaming for". Don't mess with it unless someone
gets hurt or can't go.

Man I've been watching this kids highlights, Senior bowl "confirmation"....He made EVERY senior who tried to cover him....look silly. He's still raw but if he can stay healthy and design the right plays for him Sunday can happen more often. He has field vision like a RB, can stop and start on a dime and accelerate back to full speed
very fast. He has long speed...excelerates beyond his 40 quickness with his long strides. He's a good blocker for the run game also. He's humble and wants to be great.

I absolutely agree with the sell Joe Berry : This also falls on Lafluer as the head coach who does nothing to change this so shame on him or whoever is in charge. This man has no clue how to scheme a defense but I'm not gonna speak about him anymore since lafluer or whoever is in charge will do nothing about it so who cares anymore .
